Testimonials and Placement
I am a former player coach Lou Orth’s and below are a few words about coach Orth and the integral part he played in my career.
As a quarterback out of prep school, I received a scholarship to the University of Kentucky and played for coach Hal Mumme and offensive coordinator Mike Leach in their pass happy offense. At the time, it was the number 1 passing offense in the country but I wanted to get on the field. I ultimately made the tough decision transfer to Villanova and eventually Western Connecticut State University where I found a home and had a chance to play for coach Lou Orth in his quarterback friendly system/offense. Coach Orth was the most influential part in my development as a quarterback and was the main reason for any success I had on the field. He was the best offensive coach I had the opportunity to play for and was the main reason for any of my success on the field. After spending time under him, I went to training camp with the New England Patriots, which would not have happened without him. I played at almost every level of football and he’s a great coach and the best offensive coordinator I had the opportunity to play for. I not only consider him a great coach who turned around my career, but a lifelong friend.
These group of guys changed my life for the better. They took a chance on me when no one else would. They’re great coaches that are willing to work with you on and off the field. They know how to develop you into a great football along with helping you become a man.
They were a great coach staff, they made us work hard and built a family bond with the team and coached us to football games which lead to winning championships!
Having Coach Orth as my offensive coordinator allowed me to learn so much about the game. He not only showed us what to do in his offense…he taught us WHY it would work. I gained so much knowledge from sitting in his office talking football and watching film. The ability to recognize coverage and understand concepts that I gained from Coach Orth continue to help me do my job today. More importantly, we’ve forged a true friendship that has lasted over 20 years.
These coaches have changed my life. Without them, I really don't know where I would be. They taught me everything I know about the game of football. They made me a better athlete and man as well. I can say they have become more than coaches to me they are my family.
